Getting name from another AD Domain

Hi...

There are no problems with getting the names resolved. When it is on the same AD Domain/TMG as the Fastvue.

But what if the AD domain is another one. I am able to import the names, but it still comes up as "anonymous" in the dashboard etc.

Thanks for getting in touch about this.

When TMG Reporter is not installed on a domain member, you need to enter the Active Directory details in Settings | Directory / LDAP.

Under the 'Import' button, you will see a message stating whether the last import was successful or not. If you see an error, check out our article on troubleshooting AD issues:

If the messages says that the import was successful, but you're seeing only anonymous traffic in your dashboard and reports, then it sounds like TMG is not authenticating users. Perhaps TMG is setup purely as a Firewall and all the clients are SecureNAT clients?

Run a report on the Anonymous user and then go to the Firewall | Rules section of the report. This will show you all the rules allowing unauthenticated traffic. You can then edit these rules and set them from 'All Users' to 'All Authenticated Users'. We have more information on this here:
