Running TMG Reporter 3.0 on IIS6 (Server 2003)

Last Updated: May 08, 2015 09:38AM PDT

With the release of Fastvue TMG Reporter v3.0, we removed official support for Server 2003. The minimum requirements are now Server 2008 R2 and above. More details on our Getting Started page.

If you were running TMG Reporter on Server 2003 and updated to the latest version, you will notice it looks like this:
‚ÄčFastvue Reporter IIS6 Issue

This is due to IIS6 using a separated pipeline model as opposed to IIS7 which uses an integrated pipeline model, meaning that IIS6's default pipeline processes the request before the ASP.Net pipeline can, which results in a 404 for most resources as they do not actually exist on disk as raw files (a deployment change made in v3.0).

If you need to run TMG Reporter on Server 2003, you can workaround this issue by adding a wildcard application map in IIS6's application configuration on the involved website.

The wildcard application map should point to:

And have Verify that file exists unchecked.

Restart IIS, and the Fastvue Reporter website should now work correctly.

However, please consider moving Fastvue Reporter to a server running a supported operating system.
