How to do a clean re-install?

How do I do a complete fresh reinstall of Fastvue? I accidentally installed another product over the default web site and then tried reinstalling fastvue into a sub-directory but now while my sources show records being imported I see nothing on the dashboard or in any reports, only a prompt advising me to check my sources.

Strange issue. The notice to 'Check your sources' should only occur if no records are being imported. Note, that there is a 'Records Imported' and a 'Records per Second' value. The Records per second value is the important one here. If this says 0, then nothing is being imported and your dashboard will be blank.

Also check that the Fastvue TMG Reporter service is running.

However, to completely remove Fastvue TMG Reporter, and perform a clean install:
1. Uninstall TMG Reporter via Programs and Features
2. Delete everything in your data location (C:\ProgramData\Fastvue\TMG Reporter by default)
3. Delete C:\Program Files\Fastvue\TMG Reporter
4. Ensure the Fastvue site has been removed in the IIS Management Console
5. Ensure the Fastvue TMG Reporter 'service' has been removed in the Windows Services Management Console.
6. Download the latest build from (or the latest development build at
7. Install TMG Reporter from the download. Make sure you specify the correct site, virtual directory and data location when installing.

Thanks for the answer, I checked the records p/second and that states -9,223,372,036,854,776,000???

Also looking at some of the other posts, I don't have a dashboard service, just the single reporter service?

Ah, yes the -9 million billion number appears when running in demo mode. When you're monitoring a live source, it displays a much more sensible number. It is on our list of items to look into. At the moment it is purely cosmetic and does not cause any issues.

Are the number of records imported increasing?

The articles you read probably refer to version 1.0 when it was called the 'Fastvue Dashboard' service. In version 2.0 we renamed this to the 'Fastvue TMG Reporter' service.
