Dash board

I have installed TMGReporter in accord with
Directions I have our forefront server logging to remote SQL database and can see the tables being updated and in the sorces view i can see that the fastvue server is connected to the SQL database and logs are being updated. however when i go to the dashboard view i keep gettng the message to check sources?

have i missed a configuration step some where SQL server is 2008r2

Thanks for getting in touch about this and sorry to hear about the issue.

When you go to Settings | Sources, do you see the number of records being imported increasing?

If so, can you go to Settings | Diagnostic and increase the logging level to 'Most'. Let the software run for 5 minutes and then send through the Dashboard.log file to support@fastvue.co (or upload it at http://fastvue.co/upload). This will provide us with some more information to help troubleshoot and resolve this issue.

If not, are there any issues displayed such as connection issues or timeouts? Make sure the machine's domain account has db_reader writes on the Log data base (domain\tmgreportermachine$ - replace with actuals).

turned out all that was needed was patience, once TMG reporter had downloaded the back log of log files the dashboard started to display data

Hi Graham,

Thanks for letting us know. The dashboard should start showing data straight away. It should not have to wait for all historical logs to be imported first.

It sounds like the machine may have been under resourced during that intensive time of processing all the historical logs.

Can you check the Temp folder in TMG Reporter's data folder (location shown in Settings | Data Storage). If there are a large number of files in there, I recommend increasing the machines number of CPUs if possible.

However, if everything is working properly now then that's great! Let me know if you encounter any further issues.
